Hola all!
We had a great experience this past week with one of our investigators named Juan and his daughter Rosa. Juan broke his foot like 4 months ago in a motorcycle accident so hes just been in Munitipec recovering with his family. His wife and kids live in Muni and he comes back on the weekends normally. But his job job is in Mexico City so he goes back Mon-Fri and lives there on the weekdays usually. But hes so so good! We contacted him once and gave him a Book of Mormon. And hes just home all day so he reads it all day and weve been able to teach him and he loves it! And its just amazing! And hes starting to go back to work again and drive and everything and one day he went on a trip to Mexico City with his family and they were about to leave when Rosa, his daughter hops out of the car saying, I forgot something! and she gets his Book of Mormon because she wanted to read it too and shes like 14 and so sweet! And we are super happy for them and their sincere interest in the church!
We also had a lesson with Alicia who is progressing but ever so slowly and we had a lesson with her again about baptism. And I remember I was just feeling so frustrated with her, because she knows it true, she goes to church all the time and she just needs more faith but keeps onmaking excuses with us about why and how she cant do it. And im like Alicia, girlfriend, theres nothing more important than God in your life. She always tells us how she wants peace and real joy and happiness, and I just got so frustrated because all of the things that she wants to receive- everything that she deserves to receive is possible if she would just take the leap of faith, be baptised and then she could get that constant companionship of the Holy Ghost. And it all reminded me of a scripture in The Book of Mormon, Jacob 6:5 which reads
¨Wherefore, my beloved brethren, I beseech of you in words of soberness that ye would repent, and come with full purpose of heart, and cleave unto God as he cleaveth unto you. And while his arm of mercy is extended towards you in the light of day, harden not your hearts.´
I love how the Lord holds us close and forever has his arms outstreched for us to come into. He is our Heavenly Father and our forever friend. He wants the very best for us and want for us to overcome all things. If we hold or cleave to the Lord as he cleaves unto us, we can receive all of the peace and joy that we so desire. It does not mean that the difficulties we have or the trials we face will be taken away, but we can receive a specific kind of peace during the storms of life that only He can bring.

Hello all!
Hola all!
We received these photos from Hermana Tuckfield on 2018-01-22. They show her zone as well as her trainee speaking at a conference.
Hola all!
This week we were really trying to work with one of our investigators, whose sister is actually getting baptised this week! She has been an investigator for quite some time and with Hermana Diaz we didnt receive the chance to talk with her because she did not show much interest in progressing. So we have been able to talk with her and teach her and she wants to be baptised, she is just a bit afraid to do so. Its exciting to see her faith grow and I believe little by little it truly will blossom as she acts on the seed of faith that she has.
We just received this photo of Hermana Tuckfield and her companion with what looks like delicious food! This picture was sent to us by a member family in Hermana Tuckfield’s area. We are glad that she looks happy and has some good relationships with local members!
We had a great time chatting with Hermana Tuckfield on Christmas. We were able to have a video chat. It was a great time and we are happy to see that our missionary is doing great and feeling happy!
There are so many miracles everyday day! Church is always so exciting- Hermana Vanini both love Sundays so much! We had 9 people come to church who are not members and that was such a boost! It was so exciting and Hermana Vanini and I are both very energetic for this week and the work here! Ojo de Agua is full of so many miracles and we both really love serving here.
I love learning from Hermana Vanini and I appreciate her so much for everything she has been to help me with. She is such a light to me and to the ward and investigators! I am so thankful to have her in my life and to be able to share Christmas with her.
