Always such great weeks here! This area is simple just full of miracles!
Okay so this week we were able to have this awesome conference with the entire mission in Pachuca and we learned about new goals to try and aim for and it was just so fun to learn together and also meet everyone in the mission!
We were also able to teach the miracle of Natalia and her father within the week. We could not find her house for the appointment so we were unable to teach her for Monday. But Wednesday came and she texted us saying how she had felt very sad in the morning but had decided to pray and her first thought after her prayer was to text us! It was her first moment of personal revelation and we were able to teach a lesson with such a strong spirit.
In D&C 10:58, it reads,
I am the light which shineth in darkness and the darkness comprehendeth it not.
I know that the Gospel of Jesus Christ can light up your life and bring a peace that is unlike any other and hard for me to describe. I promise the Lords love is real and everlasting. Their is such love and joy in this church and it is so amazing and beautiful to me.
This week was so amazing. There was just such a beautiful peace during sacrament meeting yesterday. We met this girl a few weeks back, but she was with a rough crowd and we were not able to fully talk with her. But yesterday, we ran into her across the street from the church and we invited her to church and she came. She said she was walking around, looking for a church to go to. It was such a strong example of true miracles that I am able to see on the mission. During sacrament meeting, she connected so much to one of the testimonies she started to cry and then she invited her Dad to second hour and he came too! It was literally just so amazing and such a miracle! I felt the Spirit so strongly. But I think just the combination of her being able to feel the Spirit, us finding her, and also all of our other four baptisms being able to get confirmed and receive the Holy Ghost yesterday just brought me such an strong spirit of peace and love. It was so beautiful, I cannot put it into words fully.
But this week in total, and my first 6 weeks in the field have just been amazing. I just love the people, my area, my companion and just everything so so much!
With 3 baptisms and General Conference, I have just learned so much this week! Their is such peace in the Gospel and an indescribable feeling of joy I held in my heart watching our investigators get baptized.
And from General Conference, I think that the main concept I got from all of the talks was how much The Lord loves us. I forget when, but at one point the song Sweet is the Shepherd was sung by the choir and I particularly love these lyrics:
Out in the desert they wander, hungry and helpless and cold. Off to the rescue he hastens, bringing them back to the fold.
I love love love this opportunity to serve these people, and I have learned so much here about the true and real love The Lord has for us all- like sending us a Savior, to guide and understand us in this life. He will always search for us when we wander, always root for us to return to Him, and always carry a love for us that is impossible to comprehend.
